MY STORY

Like so many of us, I love food. I also want to be fit. My fitness journey combines learning to balance my love of food with my devotion to exercise and personal well-being. It’s a journey that I hope to share with you.

I have a BS in Exercise Science from Northern Kentucky University. Though I began as a scholarship heptathlete on the track team, my competitive career ended with a back injury. I piled on the pounds, still eating what my “retired” body no longer needed.  Something had to change.

It did. I adjusted my eating, my workouts, and my attitude, moved off campus, and cooked mindfully. Still, I fell prey to fad dieting. My relationship with food became unhealthy. Again, something had to change.

I pursued a master’s degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Cincinnati.  I worked at gyms and got into high school coaching. I restored my healthy food-mind-fitness balance.

I continue today as a part-time high school track and field coach. But, my full-time interest is in your health and well-being.
